Welcome! I am a songwriter, guitarist and singer living in Lyons, Colorado and I appreciate you taking the time to listen and look around. My intention is to keep this site simple and personal, let the music speak for itself, make it easy to buy CD's and download songs, and find out where I am playing and what I'm up to.
The music can be described as Neo-Western Americana flavored with Slide guitar, Hard Folk, and Delta Blues.
In 2011, I have released two records- Magic Season and Universe Accptable, both available here. I have also signed on with Magnatune Records, an amazing and vital independent label out of San Rafael that is releasing all my records to date and managing my iTunes acount. My music can also be heard in shops, restaurants and bars thanks to Magnatune's new service called moodmixes.com ...check them out! I also signed on with NOMA Music in Los Angeles for placements in television and film, and have received licensing from ABC, HBO and Canadian television. I continue to play live full time, mostly in the acoustic duo and trio.
About me: I have been writing and playing music since I was 16 years old and live to play live, record music, obsess over guitar tone , and write music. It gets better the older I get. The ego fades; experiences are distilled over time; humility tempers the soul, and love and loss charge the heart with energies of every conceivable character. I have been an apprentice to many a musical muse, and have played in every type of band you can imagine, on the road and in the studio. I love to read; Cormac McCarthy is as big an influence on my songwriting as Mark Knopfler. I have been extremely fortunate to play with some truly amazing musicians, many of whom are like family.

She sounds, to me at least, like one of my favorite singers, Margo Timmons. The quality she brings to the sound of this band really elevates it to a higher level. Ash has that assured virility in his sound that you hear in guys who have achieved a certain level of professionalism. There is a quality in his sound that says he has arrived at his musical destination, which is powerful stuff."
